Run for Inclusion returns in 2022 at Singapore Turf Club
Run for Inclusion 2022 returns for its eighth edition as an in-person event to be held on 3 December 2022 at the Singapore Turf Club.
This event is organised by Runninghour. Runninghour is an inclusive sports co-operative promoting the well-being and integration of persons with special needs (PWSNs) through sports. The Run for Inclusion event provides a platform for more significant interaction with PWSNs in a mainstream activity. This can help foster a more inclusive society.
The event features cycle, run and walk categories where participants can choose varying distances according to their preference and ability. The categories include the personalised distance of up to 3km, 3km or 5km run or walk, 10km run and the 20km cycling category (which also comprises a tandem cycling category to cater for PWSNs).
In addition to the run, there will also be fun-filled activities for adults and children alike. From a 16-metre inflatable obstacle course designed for children with special needs to a bustling carnival, participants will be kept enthralled.
Recycled horseshoe race medals at Run for Inclusion 2022
Participants will receive a commemorative race medal recycled from used horseshoes. This marks Run for Inclusion’s first in-person event at the Singapore Turf Club (STC). Runninghour and STC volunteers will be involved in the cleaning process of the used horseshoes, giving them a new shine and turning them into race medals.
Integration workshop
Participants are encouraged to attend an integration workshop to learn more about guiding PWSNs to participate in mainstream sports activities. The complimentary workshop will be held on 19 and 20 November. Once completed, participants can choose to partner with a PWSN on the race event day.

Run for Inclusion 2022 will continue to offer complimentary entries to all PWSNs and their caregivers (limited to one caregiver per PWSN) to encourage more PWSNs to participate in this event.
