Got to Move Key Visual

With a diverse range of programmes at various locations across the island, there is a bit of everything for everyone both young and old.

With proven benefits for both our physical and mental health, a study by the New England Journal of Medicine found that seniors who dance are 76 percent less likely to develop dementia.

Some of the programme highlights this year include:

Tea Dances For Shakespeare

Designed for seniors who want to participate in a fun, simple and engaging kinaesthetic experience, Tea Dances for Shakespeare features poetic gestural movement motifs inspired by the Bard’s sonnets. Participants will get to learn some whimsical hand gestures and upper torso movements while seated on designer-chairs. The short learning session (30 minutes) will lead right into a public performance supported by live Baroque music performed by a quartet.

Date & Time: 7 to 9 October 2016, timing TBC

Venue: Westgate Shopping Mall

Flamenco Fun Fitness Workshops and La Fiesta Flamenca!
