The much-anticipated Korean charcoal barbeque concept restaurant finally lands in Singapore shores this Christmas eve, bringing us its signature galmaegisal for the first time.

Korean food lovers rejoice! Korea’s charcoal barbeque concept restaurant, Seorae Galmaegi will open its doors at Plaza Singapura on 24 December 2015.

Founded in 2007, Seorae Galmaegi has opened over 200 outlets in major cities such as Seoul, Busan, Shanghai, Beijing, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Jakarta, and Bandung, among others.

With the launch of its latest outlet in Singapore, locals can now enjoy the restaurant’s signature Korean galmaegisal (also known as pork skirt meat). Galmaegisal is found between the ribs and the belly of the pig and is a unique cut that forms only 250 grams of every full-grown pig.

Grilled to perfection with Seorae’s special ‘circle grilling’ technique, the galmaegisal is marinated in a delicious blend of Korean spices to give it a rich and full flavour. The tender and juicy galmaegisal tastes almost like that of wagyu beef, and is best paired with a dip featuring onion and spicy sauces, accompanied with silky folds of egg and fragrant garlic.

To further excite diners’ taste buds, Seorae Singapore will also offer melted cheese on the grill, combining mouth-watering textures and creamy cheese for a burst of flavours.
