LaViCa App is a mental health app that offers online help for users

By  |  0 Comments

LaViCa App connects users with therapists online and provides purpose-driven tools to promote healthy action to support mental health

A Singapore Mental Health Study in 2018 found that 1 in 7 people in Singapore have experienced a mental disorder in the last year, with a higher prevalence found among those aged between 18-34.

Since this report, more people might have impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The AIA Health Matters Survey 2021 found that 91 percent of respondents reported declines in their mental health due to fears over income loss and job instability.

Nearly 1 in ten (13 percent) participants in an Institute of Mental Health study reported symptoms of anxiety or depression experienced during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Introducing virtual therapy and tools to help with mental care

The LaViCa App allows users to curate their journey to positivity by building productive routines through a suite of helpful tools. These tools include using emotion check-ins, focus questions and journaling as well as live counselling sessions.

We wanted to remove the barriers that often surround mental health care by making it easy for people to find a path to a calmer mind.

The app also provides access to one-on-one counselling through text, audio or video messaging with qualified therapists. These qualified specialists are based in Singapore and familiar with local cultures and stress triggers. They are carefully selected for their local knowledge of the community and areas of expertise. Users can also change therapists at any time should they wish. All therapists involved in delivery of services through the The LaViCa App are qualified to Master’s level or higher.

We created LaViCa to help people live a better life by providing access to affordable online therapy that is relevant to their lives. Now more than ever, people’s mental health is taking a toll. Our principal aim is to connect users with qualified therapists in a safe, confidential and judgement-free space.

Figures shared by the Singapore Ministry for Health suggest waiting times for traditional mental health support can be up to 28 days.

The LaViCa App reduces the time and expense of traditional mental health care by offering 24/7 access for people in need. For situations where a user needs to talk to a therapist immediately, the app can help arrange real time appointments as soon as within the hour.

Availability and pricing of the LaViCa App

The LaViCa app is available on both the App Store and Google Play. The app is free to download but services accessed through the app are chargeable.

Access to affordable therapy with professional Singapore-based therapists starts at SGD 29/week for asynchronous texting or SGD 79/per 50-minute session for live communication. Live communication can take place across text/audio/video based on client preference.
