Maybank is seeking to raise SGD 300,000 through Walk for Humanity in support of Singapore Red Cross’ local and regional humanitarian efforts

Maybank Singapore is organising ‘Walk for Humanity’ from February 20 to March 20. This is a virtual charity walk to raise funds for the Singapore Red Cross. Members of the public are invited to clock their steps and do good for humanity at the same time.

Maybank will donate SGD 10 for every kilometre clocked by participants of the Virtual Walk, pledging up to SGD 150,000 in donations for humanitarian aid for communities affected by the floods in Malaysia and Typhoon Rai in the Philippines.

Public donations will support Singapore Red Cross’ local programmes for the elderly living on their own such as helping them with befriending and wellness, transportation to healthcare and home safety services.

There are two ways to support and contribute.

Clock steps and Maybank will donate SGD 10 for every 1km

Interested participants can register for free on the 42Race website or mobile app.

Participants will submit their distance clocked over the period of February 20 to March 20 by connecting Strava or Garmin on both Android and iOS devices to the 42Race app.

Post-registration, they can access the 42Race rewards page for online promotions and redemption on the website platform. There are also unique offers for participants of Walk for Humanity from merchants such as Distrii Singapore, Joy Studio and Swissôtel Merchant Court – Ellenborough Market Café.

Each completion comes with an e-certification and an e-badge. The first 1,000 participants can collect a specially-designed event face mask at “MSpace at Maybank” located at Orchard Shopping Centre.

At the end of the event, Maybank will donate SGD 10 for every 1 kilometre (km) clocked by participants.

Donate or fundraise through Giving.sg

Members of the public that prefer to make a donation can do so through the Giving.sg page directed from 42Race website or app to support the cause and aid relief efforts.

Donations on Giving.sg are eligible for tax-deductions in Singapore.
