First Lazada Run Singapore to be held in July
Lazada Run Singapore is the first-ever race organised by an eCommerce platform. It will be held on 23 July 2023 and flag off at the Marina Barrage.
The Lazada Run is a multi-country run around the region, taking place in Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, and Malaysia, with the grand finale to be held in Singapore.
Singapore will play host to the winners of the 21KM and 10KM races from the region to compete for the ultimate prize of USD 3,500. Additional cash prizes of SGD 3,000 and SGD 2,000 will be awarded to first place finishers for the 21KM and 10KM categories respectively, with cash prizes for second and third place finishers as well. The prize is also open to Singapore race participants and they will automatically qualify based on their finishing position.
Participants will get to enjoy scenic views in Singapore during the run, passing by landmarks such as Marina Bay Sands, Gardens by the Bay, the National Stadium and the beautiful beaches of the East Coast Park.
To add some variety to such runs, the routes will feature “Add to Life” arches that automatically enter participants who run beneath them within stipulated timings into a lucky draw, and stand to win attractive prizes.
Pacers with vouchers attached to their waist will enter the race halfway, which participants can grab. This is the first time such an activity will take place in a running event.
For race participants as well as spectators, a race village will feature stage entertainment and include a programme of activities, including a mass warm-up session led by a fitness influencer.
How to register for the Lazada Run Singapore
Ticket sales and registration for the Lazada Run Singapore will close on 30 June.
The race pack includes a PUMA running tee, race bib, tote bag and a finisher medal. Bonus goodies include an Epitex sports towel, Walch sports laundry capsules, VOOST performance tablets, Nature One Dairy Oat Milk, Kose Sekkisei Clear Wellness UV Gel sunscreen, Tryall protein soy chips and a Bioderma anti-irritation skincare kit. An additional Finisher Tee will only be issued to registered runners who have completed the 21.1km half marathon.
