Open Farm Community’s New Farm-Fresh Menu Items

Open Farm Community introduces a plethora of new dishes featuring the freshness of local farm ingredients specially handpicked by their chefs.

Open Farm Community (OFC) has recently released their latest menu, featuring 11 new dishes made with only the finest and freshest produce. In a bid to bring awareness to the underappreciated urban farming community in Singapore, OFC brings the beauty of locally farmed produce to the dining table through their specially curated dishes.

Featuring starters such as the Sweet Corn and Basil Soup (SGD 19) made with charred baby corn, this dish is served table-side with warm pita bread. With main dishes ranging from fish, meat and vegetables slow-roasted in a custom-built charcoal oven, the rich flavours of the ingredients are brought out in these dishes.

Sizzling favourites include the Coconut Laksa Barramundi (SGD 29) made with crushed potato cake and bok choy; as well as the Vietnamese pho roasted short rib (SGD 37) made with buttery green asparagus and crispy kuzu noodles.

Minden Road Pesto Trofie

The Carnaroli Risotto (SGD 30) made with chorizo, cuttlefish, ebi, green peas, saffron threads, and crispy serrano, boasts a symphony of flavours that is set to please any gourmand. The restaurant also serves a selection of pastas such as the Minden Road Pesto Trofie (SGD 26) featuring a healthy combination of potatoes, French beans, and pumpkin chunks.

OFC’s refreshed menu also includes a variety of unique desserts. For those who love their cakes, be sure to dig into the Spiced Pumpkin Cake (SGD 18) served with butternut ice cream, gula melaka jelly, pomelo and garden herbs.

For a fully immersive experience that goes beyond the dining table, OFC also hosts educational events and activities for the whole family such as urban farming workshops, farmers’ markets, lawn bowling and outdoor table tennis competitions on a regular basis. In addition, be sure to catch their monthly Social Market that encourages all to develop a deeper and more meaningful relationship with food and locally produced goods.
