Be a part of the first ever foreign contingent to run in Kyushu’s southernmost major city, Kagoshima! Soak in beautiful landscapes and enjoy warm Japanese hospitality as you run. This run is by special invite from the Kagoshima City Government and is not open for foreign public registration.

Kagoshima is the birth city of the last true samurai in Japan during the Meiji Era. It is also the place where the industrial revolution started, and traditional Japan were introduced to the benefits of Western science and technology.

Run through beautiful sceneries and eat delicious local delicacies during your visit to this authentic prefecture. During free time, runners may visit famous sights of Kagoshima such as Kirishima Shrine, Sakamoto Kurozu and Mt. Sakurajima Yunohira Observatory. Have lunch at Tosenkyo Somen Noodles and take part in the Chiran Noen Green Tea Experience. Go experience the Tarumizu Foot Spa and Ibusuki Sand Bath too. Ibusuki Sand Bath is said to have 3 to 4 times more benefits than a traditional onsen bath, helping to improve blood circulation, ridding the body of impurities and providing relieve from ailments such as arthritis and rheumatism. It sure sounds like a good way to reward your body from all the running the day before!
