Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong To Feature Art Exhibition This March

The hotel announces its partnership with the Art Basel show in Hong Kong for the fourth year running, offering guests a thought provoking exhibition along with artistic treats.

If you’re visiting Hong Kong any time from March to April, be sure to drop by Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong to appreciate some of the finer things in life – Art.

As the Official Hotel Partner for the Art Basel show in Hong Kong, the hotel will host an exhibition in partnership with Artshare.com (leading online platform for Chinese contemporary art), bringing together unique art pieces for the first time.

The Surroundings & Influences Art Exhibition will feature the works of prominent artists from China and Hong Kong, offering guests rare access to pieces otherwise unavailable for public appreciation. Exhibiting artists include Gao Weigang, Hou Yong, Lee Kit and Zhao Zhao, among many others. The Surroundings & Influences Art Exhibition will run from 4 March to 12 April 2016, at the Clipper Lounge.

From 7 to 28 March 2016, be sure to savour the Surroundings & Influences Afternoon Tea set, exclusively created by the hotel’s Executive Pastry Chef to accompany the exhibition. Guests may also enjoy the same tea set at Café Causette during the promotional period.

Mandarin Grill + Bar’s Art Menus

Michelin-starred chef, Uwe Opocensky will offer guests of the Mandarin Grill + Bar a special art-inspired three-course lunch and five-course dinner menu. Designed to stimulate all senses, guests are in for a visual treat as they watch the artistic dishes such as Street Art, Paint Box and Art Excavation unfold before their eyes. The three-course lunch menu is priced at HKD 988 while the five-course dinner menu at HKD 1,888. The Art Menu is available from 14 to 27 March 2016.

Art Treats at The Mandarin Cake Shop

For the month of March, the hotel’s talented pastry chefs will offer a range of limited-edition chocolates and treats. A selection of artistic delights inspired by the Surroundings & Influences art exhibition will be on sale at The Mandarin Cake Shop.

Art Cocktails at M bar

Perched on the 25th floor of the hotel, the fashionable M bar, will also offer a series of art-inspired crafted cocktails inspired by the Insights, Discoveries, Encounters and Film sectors of Art Basel Hong Kong. These cocktails will also be available through March 2016.

Revive After Basel-ing Treatment at The Mandarin Spa – 24 to 27 March, 2016

After a long day out at the Art Basel show, refresh tired legs with the new Revive After Basel-ing Treatment at The Mandarin Spa. Enjoy a foot ritual with scrub, followed by the application of rosemary, geranium, and sweet orange gel and oil to stimulate and soothe tired legs and feet. The treatment will also include a foot massage to relieve hot, swollen feet from all the walking, before ending off with a relaxing scalp massage and a warming detoxifying foot mask. The Revive After Baseling Treatment is available from 24 to 27 March, and will last for 45 minutes. The treatment is priced at HKD 1,000 on weekdays and HKD 1,100 on weekends.
