Breast Cancer Foundation (BCF) rallies Singapore to offer even more activities for Breast Cancer Awareness month.

In addition to the series of Pink Ribbon initiatives that are set to launch this October, non-profit organisation, BCF seeks to raise even greater awareness for breast cancer through collaboration with various partners across Singapore.

Ride the Pink Train

Running for a month from 3 October on the North-South East-West line, be sure to look out for the pink train that will be decorated in the Say #Breast. Save Lives theme. A first-of-its-kind partnership between BCF and the Land Transport Authority (LTA), the MRT train will be decked out in the iconic pink colour associated with breast cancer awareness and will feature local statistics about breast cancer to encourage Singaporeans to embrace the topic and support the cause.

Shop for the Cause

As part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, various organisations such as Bridgestone Tyre Sales Singapore Pte Ltd, Wacoal Singapore, Goodwood Park Hotel, Shangri La Hotel Singapore and Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts have joined BCF in the fight to raise awareness for breast cancer.

These participating organisations will offer limited edition launches with an aim to encourage early detection and prevention, public awareness, and provide support to those fighting the disease. Members of the public may shop at these brands guilt-free, knowing that each purchase makes a meaningful difference.

Some of these initiatives include:

Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts

Throughout October, Banyan Tree Hotels & Resort will partner with BCF to raise funds for the cause. Guests will receive a turn-down gift on the first night of their stay, and can opt to donate USD 2 (for Banyan Tree) and USD 1 (for Angsana). In return, guests will receive a specially designed sand-filled pink turtle or starfish respectively.

Goodwood Park Hotel

For the month of October, guests at Goodwood Park Hotel’s L’Espresso restaurant will get to dine for a notable cause in light of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The popular English Afternoon Tea buffet will include an array of pretty-in-pink delights specially created by the hotel’s culinary team for this limited period.

In addition, every guest who opts for the English Afternoon Tea buffet in October will receive a BCF pink ribbon pin worth SGD 2. The hotel will donate to BCF the value of the total number of pins given out.

Wacoal Singapore Pte Ltd
