Samsung takes a stab at the ‘family tablet’ with their new Galaxy View.

Focusing on what they call ‘edutainment’, Samsung’s new offering is a specialised, 18.4-inch tablet designed to complement the lifestyles of parents and their young.

The unique two-way stand makes it easy to use the tablet upright for viewing, or on the table for typing and other activities. The stand also features a handle for easy carrying for parents and children alike. Yes, the Galaxy View, despite its size, is designed to be used around the house, and sports a large battery than can provide up to eight hours of video playback.

The octa-core powered (and with 2GB RAM) Galaxy View uses a Full-HD display, and comes with 32GB of internal memory. It is also expandable up to 128GB via a MicroSD slot.
