SAVOUR Gourmet Returns This May
Running from 12 to 15 May, SAVOUR Gourmet returns with an expanded festival line-up that will excite all food aficionados.
SAVOUR returns this year with three specially-themed editions – SAVOUR Gourmet, SAVOUR Wines and SAVOUR Christmas. Focusing on the best of gourmet experiences, the first edition, SAVOUR Gourmet will run from 12 to 15 May. Highlights include the alfresco Gourmet Village featuring a line-up of restaurants, themed bars and live music; as well as the ever-popular Gourmet Market, offering a variety of products from around the world.
SAVOUR Gourmet will also mark the debut of the DBS Live Your Dream initiative, which provides a platform for emerging home-grown talent to showcase their skills. At the Gourmet Village, watch as some of Singapore’s best and brightest lead their respective restaurants and pit themselves against each other. Visitors may vote for their favourite chefs and dishes during the event using the voting cards provided with every purchase made at the restaurants.
The well-loved Jasons Gourmet Market experience will also return this year to offer a range of specially curated experiences. Expect to find a Seafood Corner offering the freshest crustaceans and oysters; a Wine Terrace featuring a selection of 70 principal wines; a Bistro offering international cuisine; and a Cheese Room showcasing 200 types of internationally sourced cheeses and Iberico hams to go along. The highlight of Jasons Gourmet Market is definitely Jason’s Market itself, offering cured meats, fresh organic produce, locally made jams and sauces, and a first-of-its-kind olive bar. To round up the Jason’s experience, visitors may also participate in a series of informative mini master classes.
For the first time ever, entry to the festival grounds will be complimentary. Food items at the Gourmet Village will also be at two easy prices: SGD 6 and SGD 12. Cash and credit are also accepted on the grounds.
As for the two other editions, SAVOUR Wines will kick off from 8 to 11 September, while SAVOUR Christmas will run from 17 to 20 November. Those looking to enjoy the expanded SAVOUR series may purchase the SAVOUR Experience Pack at SGD 30. Limited to the first 1,500 customers only, the package will include vouchers for use at the Gourmet Village and the Jasons Gourmet Market, a goodie bag, and an exclusive Xiao Long Bao from three-Michelin starred, Bo Innovation.
The four-day festival will be held at Bayfront Avenue, next to the Marina Bay Sands Convention Centre.
