Sony Rolls Out Its Z3 Range

Sony has also rolled out a slew of new gadgets such as its flagship Xperia Z3 smartphone and fitness oriented SmartWear devices.

Taking the game to Apple and Samsung, Sony’s all-new Xperia Z3 series features models that run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor. The flagship Xperia Z3 features a 5.2-inch screen, is 7.3mm thick and is available in white, black, copper or silver green while the Xperia Z3 Compact comes with a 4.6-inch screen, is 8.6mm thick and is available in orange, green, white or black, both models are waterproof and dust-tight.

In terms of bells and whistles, both the Z3 and Z3 Compact come with a 20.7 mp camera, new 25mm G Lens and ISO 12800 sensitivity for better images, and if you are a gamer, you’ll be interested in the phone’s ability to be used as a remote screen to connect and control games on PlayStation 4.

Z3 Tablet

Sony has also introduced to the region the new Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, which has a thickness of 6.4 mm and weighs 270 grammes, making it the world’s slimmest and lightest compact tablet. The tablet also features an 8-inch Full HD TRILUMINOS screen and can also be used as a remote screen to connect to and control games on PlayStation 4.

Accessories

Also on display at the regional launch held in Singapore were the Sony SmartBand Talk and SmartWatch 3. The SmartWatch 3 is the first specifically designed watch for the latest Android Wear updates in close collaboration with Google and can also be used as a standalone device with its built-in Accelerometer, Compass, Gyro and GPS sensor technology providing more accurate, more powerful lifelogging, while SmartBand Talk is a lifelogging wearable featuring a curved 1.4-inch e-paper that displays your Lifelog activities, notifications as well as tell time.
