Make-A-Wish Singapore has been adopted by Takashimaya as its official charity for ‘A World of Gifts’, an exclusive Christmas collection going on sale from Friday, 17 November to Monday, 25 December 2017.

Make-A-Wish donation boxes will also be placed on every floor of Takashimaya, so holiday shoppers can do some good while gift shopping for loved ones!

‘A World of Gifts’ features designs by local artist Gelyn Ong who, at just 13 years old, uses her artistic talent and passion to help raise funds for various non-profit organisations. Gelyn’s paintings have helped raised more than S$700,000 to date for various charities through auctions and other fundraising  activities. Make-A-Wish in particular holds a special place in her heart, as proceeds from Gelyn’s first two solo art exhibitions in 2011 and 2012 went to
the Foundation.

For this year’s Christmas tie-up, Gelyn’s Christmas drawings will feature in a variety of items throughout Takashimaya, including endearing cosmetic  canvas pouches with five exclusive Christmas animal designs – a bear, flamingo, moose, panda and penguin lovingly drawn by Gelyn as a Purchase-with-Purchase option at $5 (UP: $15) for any purchases made at Ladies’ Accessories Department, Handbag/Ladies’ Shoes Department and Ladies’ Wear Department.

100% of the proceeds from merchandise sales of the Christmas pouches and luggage will go towards Make-A-Wish Singapore to help grant the wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses. Patrons of Takashimaya can spread more love to wish kids by placing monetary donations in Make-A-Wish donation boxes available at each floor of the shopping centre.
