Join ION Orchard as it ushers in the Year of the Monkey with an exciting line-up of festive activities.
ION Orchard welcomes the Lunar New Year with festivities for everyone. With a line-up of family-oriented activities, be sure to add ION Orchard to your Chinese New Year itinerary. On display from now till 22 February, ION flaunts an intricately decorated Spring Garden at the Atrium, housing over 500 sculptures of festive floral species such as cherry blossoms and peonies.
Look out also for Lion Dance performances lined up on the first and second day of Chinese New Year (8 and 9 February) at the Atrium.

PUTIEN’S Chinese New Year Celebrations
As part of PUTIEN‘s festive celebrations, take a break from your New Year visitings to witness Lion Dance performances on stilts by seven-time national champions, Long Tian Pugilistic Dragon & Lion Dance Troupe. Other activities available include cooking demonstrations and a Drum Clinic – allowing both the young and old to immerse in the festivity. Available from 22 to 24 February, be sure to catch the performance at Level B4, ION station.
Free Folk’s Lunar New Year Festive Market
Be sure to also drop by the Free Folk’s Lunar New Year Festive Market to soak up the Chinese New Year spirit as well as purchase items suited to the occasion. With merchandise catering to all ages, the festive market would make a great place to bring the entire family along for a wholesome Chinese New Year celebration. Available from 25 January to 6 February, the festive market is located at Level B4, ION station.
