Winter Escape To Six Senses Douro Valley
Embrace the last of winter with a relaxing three-night Six Senses Winter Escape to Douro which comes complete with spa treatments and wine tastings.
Enjoy a three-night getaway to Six Senses Douro Valley this January to March with the hotel’s Winter Package for two. Guests can expect to sip on wine by the fire; rejuvenate with a relaxing Six Senses signature spa treatment; and uncover the secrets of the Douro wines and ports with a guided wine tasting.
The Six Senses Winter Package for two includes a pampering visit to Six Senses Spa Douro Valley where both guests can enjoy a 60-minute Six Senses Signature Massage with the option of Detox, Energizer, Deep Tissue or Holistic massage.
Swimming Pool
The expansive Six Senses Spa features 10 treatment rooms, a heated in-door swimming pool with water jets, as well as a Vitality Suite with steam room, sauna and laconium. Other facilities include a gym and aerial yoga with on-site personal trainers.
Wine Library
On the first evening of the stay, the hotel’s Wine Manager, Hélio Lima will take guests through secrets of the Douro wines at the Wine Library. Browse through over 110 indigenous grape varieties, fabulous whites, reds and Ports, as well as centuries-old wineries producing world class wines.
The hotel’s Chef Paulo Matos will also offer guests a curated selection of local and regional Portuguese cheeses, smoked meats, and four different wines for a true taste of the region.
Guests may participate in cooking lessons with Chef Paulo Matos or one of the specialty chefs to learn the secrets behind traditional Portuguese cooking.
Other activities include tree-climbing at the forest, where guests can relive their childhood memories under the supervision of tree-climbing specialists. For those who prefer a less strenuous activity, they can simply take a leisurely stroll through the forest and enjoy the sublime treetop views.
