An Affinity for the Jubilee

By  |  0 Comments

The Dalmore Affinity is a rather special whisky for a rather special occasion for Singapore.

The Affinity was specially bottled to commemorate Singapore’s Golden Jubilee; a one-off bottle. However as an exclusive, ultra-luxurious 50-year-old Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky, it’s also priced at a rather exclusive price of ₤50,000 (S$105,645). In keeping with our Jubilee celebrations, the bottle takes inspiration from the theme of “togetherness” and a collective sense of identity.

Paterson1“We’re awed by the countless astounding accomplishments Singapore has achieved since its independence and we’re honored to be a part of this SG50 celebration that will, without a doubt, be another high note of the country’s history. Every whisky has its own unique story to tell and The Dalmore Affinity is no exception. We believe it’s the best whisky that will highlight the vibrant, intrepid spirit of Singapore”, shares Richard Paterson, the charismatic Master Distiller at Dalmore.

The commemorative bottle is suitably royal, having been put together by the finest artisans. The intricate silverwork on the decanter was immaculately handcrafted by Hamilton & Inches, Royal Warrant holder and jeweler to the Royal Family; the bespoke presentation box was crafted by Linley Interior Design, who designed the Queen’s wardrobe.

The whisky was matured first in an American white oak bourbon cask for 48 years, and then finished in an Apostoles 30-year-old Matusalem oloroso sherry butt for two years and six months.

The Dalmore Affinity will be on display for public viewing at the lobby of Hotel Michael at Resorts World Sentosa for three weeks starting from Sunday, July 26, 2015.
