Are You Under Stress? Now There’s an Easy Way to Know

By  |  0 Comments

Sometimes you may not know if you’re under stress or not – even when we seem outwardly calm, our bodies may be in the state of fight-or-flight. However, the new Garmin vívosmart 3 takes the guesswork out of that.

This activity tracker is packed with many features, including comprehensive smartphone notifications. With a heart rate monitor in tow, it can work out VO2 max numbers as well as fitness age. In fact, it has almost all the basic sensors that you need for comprehensive activity tracking, including floors climbed, intensity minutes, and sleep monitoring.

While we know that these trackers can be limited when it comes to targeted exercises like strength training, the vívosmart 3 does include a reps counter, which recognises repetitions carried out by your wrist and comes in handy for activities like elliptical training. Plus, it starts counting automatically thanks to Garmin Move IQ tech, so you don’t need to set it up before you start an activity. The vívosmart 3 is even waterproof enough for swims, although it is not able to track laps.

Nonetheless, it still boasts an extensive range of tools, the highlight of which, of course, is the ability to track stress, which it does via detecting changes in heart rate. It will also offer a series of breathing exercises to help you calm down. As we mentioned at the start, it’s really helpful as you might not know any better if you’re under stress or not.

The Garmin vívosmart 3 can be purchased at Garmin authorised resellers including Challenger, Best Denki, Harvey Norman, Courts and Running Lab for a suggested retail price of S$229. It is available in black (regular and large), blue and purple (regular). The black and purple regular versions feature a rose gold buckle, which is exclusive to Asia Pacific.
