Asus Brings the Style to All-in-Ones
ASUS is one of those companies that have mastered the knack to produce stylish and fully featured devices at competitive prices.
The new 23.8-inch Zen AiO Pro is a slim all-in-one desktop system featuring an all-aluminum brushed metal shell, made from a solid block of anodised aluminum, in a colour Asus calls Icicle Gold, and decorated with spun metal circles on its facade. To complete the look, edge-to-edge glass to add elegance.
It’s the first model in the new Zen AiO Pro series, and features the latest Intel Core processors (up to i7) as well as Nvidia GeForce GTX960M graphics (up to 4GB VRAM) that make it capable for gaming as well.
Asus also boasts the fact that the Zen AiO Pro will be the first AiO to have a Type C USB port (USB 3.1 Gen 2) built in. The new USB 3.1 standard boasts up to 10 Gigabits per second speed (125 Megabytes per second). That’s about twice as fast as USB 3.0, and is great for speedy transfers of big movie files and the like. In addition, the plug is reversible – the orientation is irrelevant. In addition, the Zen AiO Pro has four USB 3 ports and one USB 2 port.
Asus has designed the AiO to be a multimedia device, and has included a 10-point multitouch Full HD display with a colour gamut boasting 100% SRGB range for accuracy. Complementing that is an inbuilt, 16W, six-speaker sound system.
The 23.8-inch Zen AiO Pro (Z240IC) will be available at $1,798 (i5) and $2198 (i7) respectively. Availability and price for the 21.5-inch version (Z220IC) sans Nvidia graphics card and touchscreen will be announced at a later date.
