Time to win parenting and keep yourself healthy while taking care of the toddler

Are you a stay at home parent, looking for more time to keep healthy? Here’s how you can find the time to work out and keep yourself fit.

Believe it or not, it all comes down to setting goals and priorities. Being full-time parents can be very challenging, especially if you’re not in your best condition. Since there are people relying on you daily, this should be enough to push you to work harder when it comes to taking care of yourself. This includes working out regularly to have the energy to deal with the kids daily.

Here are some tips to help you squeeze in workout time in your busy schedule at home:

1. Wake up very early. This is probably the hardest thing to do for a parent since you’re always tired from regular duties. More often, it’s better to just sleep in whenever you can since you’ll never know when would be the next opportunity that will allow you to do so.

However, if you don’t want any interruptions while working out at home, it’s best to wake up ahead of everyone else. Having a fuss-free workout routine is definitely something that’s worth waking up to.

2. Make time to work out during the day. If you think it’s impossible for you to wake up earlier than the rest, squeeze in your workout routine in between your chores and errands. This applies for those with infants since they can wake up pretty early than the usual. Try the 7 minute circuit-based workout that aims to provide busy people with sufficient exercise.

3. Set realistic goals. Being a busy parent makes it harder to achieve your fitness goals. However, this shouldn’t stop you from getting healthy. Start with quick workout routines and look for challenging ones as you go along.

4. Involve the rest of the family. If your toddler or kid is old enough to exercise, don’t be afraid to let them join you while you workout. They can dance around, copy your routines or just hang with you while you sweat it out. This is also the perfect opportunity for parents to teach children why it’s important to keep your body healthy all the time.
