The festival will return this 22 October with the aim of empowering individuals to take positive and meaningful action to improve their lives.

Set to take place at Hotel Jen Tanglin Singapore, Green Is The New Black (GITNB): A Conscious Festival will return on 22 October, from 9am to 9pm for its second edition. The one-day event seeks to raise awareness on how to improve the way we live, work and consume in our daily lives and will see some of the best speakers, change makers, music and brands making an appearance.

Co-organised by The Wedge Asia and Hotel Jen Tanglin Singapore, GITNB provides a curated platform to showcase and spotlight mindful local brands and influencers, who are making meaningful change in their industries and doing good in the world.

This year’s event will comprise of two major components – the Talks and the Festival. Throughout the event, visitors can attend transformational talks and engaging workshops hosted by conscious living and working thought leaders.

This year’s talks will focus on three tracks exploring conscious living, working and fashion:

  1. BEING (Self & Inner Compass) – Overcome self-doubt, deal with your inner critic, and stay on top of your game
  2. DOING (Working With Purposeful Impact) – Find purpose at work, connect and learn from change makers leading the way, and make more impact
  3. HAVING (Fashion & Consumption) – Learn what it means to be sustainable and ethical in today’s world as we explore whether green can become the new black

For everyone who registers for an activity at GITNB, the festival will be sponsoring extra tuition classes to assist young girls in Cambodia in passing their exams and allowing them to continue in school. This is made possible by one of the festival’s giving partner, Buy1Give1.

Beyond these talks and workshops, visitors can also drop by the Marketplace to browse through various local fashion, art, beauty and lifestyle brands that are conscious and mindful about their business practices. Over at the Grub, visitors may grab healthy food options from an array of food vendors.

Over at the Stage, visitors may enjoy live music entertainment from local bands and entertainers, and the festival will conclude on a high note with an epic pool party!

The event is free to the public, however there will be an admission fee for the Talks and Workshops. Tickets are available at greenisthenewblack.asia. For more updates, visit their event page.

GITNB will be held at Hotel Jen Tanglin, 1A Cuscaden Road, Singapore 249716.
