Registration For Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore 2016 Is Now Open

Singapore’s premier running event, Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore 2016 returns this 4 December.

Avid runners will be thrilled to know that for the first time ever, Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore (SCMS) 2016 will hold its main starting point at Orchard Road. Kicking off on 3 December for the Kids Dash, both Full and Half Marathons will be held on 4 December and will see multiple wave starts based on runners’ estimated finishing time for a smoother start.

To commemorate its 15^th anniversary, SCMS 2016 will also see the introduction of new initiatives such as a four-day SCMS Launch roadshow exhibition where visitors may view memorabilia from the past 14 races, as well as contributions from race ambassadors and loyal runners, and running stories from the past and present.

Organisers will also be giving away 100 entry slots and 1,000 anniversary tees to members of the public through on-site activities and lucky draws. Interested runners can also get a free baseline fitness test to help them begin their training journey for the race in December. The roadshow exhibition is held from 7 July to 10 July 2016 from 2 – 9pm (Thurs); and 11am – 8pm (Fri – Sun) at The Cathay, Atrium.

Registration for the marathon begins today on the race website, and fees for all categories have remained the same as last year. Standard Chartered cardholders may enjoy 15 percent off registration fees across all categories while SCMS 2015 participants may enjoy 10 percent off. Registrations will close on 25 November 2016 or when all slots are taken up.
