Shang Palace Offers Artisanal “Chocolate Trilogy” This Mid-Autumn
Shangri-La Hotel celebrates the Mid-Autumn Festival with a luxurious Chocolate Trilogy mooncake collection by Shang Palace restaurant.
This Mid-Autumn Festival, Master Chef Steven Ng of Shang Palace presents a unique collection of handcrafted artisanal mooncakes, featuring an amalgamation of ingredients from the East and the West.
The Chocolate Trilogy Mooncake Collection
The Chocolate Trilogy mooncakes feature a fine layer of chocolate enveloping lotus seed paste and other Oriental ingredients. The three flavours in the collection are Dark Chocolate with Lotus Seed Paste and Candied Orange, Milk Chocolate with Lotus Seed Paste, Mixed Nuts, Pumpkin and Melon Seeds and Carrot, as well as White Chocolate with Lotus Seed Paste, Green Tea and Coconut. The delicate chocolate layers are carefully measured and constructed to ensure just the right amount of thickness and texture with each bite.
These artisanal mooncakes are presented in a specially designed premium gift box adorned with orchid motifs, making it ideal as gifts to business associates, friends and family.
Each box is priced at SGD 116 and comes with two pieces per flavour.
Fans of baked mooncakes will enjoy Shang Palace’s three flavours: Baked Salted Green Bean Paste Mooncake with Coconut (SGD 66 for a box of four), Mini Baked Salted Kumquat Mooncake with Egg Yolk (SGD 78 for a box of eight) and Mini Baked Custard Mooncake (SGD 78 for a box of eight).
All mooncakes are presented in satin boxes decorated with elegant peach-blossom embroidery.
In addition to the new flavours, Shang Palace’s menu also offers the traditional baked combination of Salted Egg Yolks ensconced in White Lotus Seed Paste. Variations with four, double and single yolk are available, starting at SGD 75 for a box of four.
Four Treasures Baked Moncake Box
The Shang Palace Four Treasures Baked Mooncake Box comprises of four regular baked mooncakes, with one in each flavour – White Lotus Seed Paste with Double Yolks, White Lotus Seed Paste with Single Yolk, Plain White Lotus Seed Paste and Mixed Nuts with Chicken Ham. Each box is going at SGD 73.
Guests may purchase Shang Palace’s mooncakes at the lobby of Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore from 17 August to 27 September 2015 and at retail booths located at shopping malls island-wide, including Takashimaya, VivoCity, Jurong Point and Parkway Parade.
