The Carvery welcomes A Year of Plenty this Lunar New Year

The Carvery at Park Hotel Alexandra is celebrating the upcoming lunar new year with buffet feasts, complimentary dishes, a lucky draw for all guests as well as vouchers for those born in the Year of the Rat

Starting in January, and until 8 February, 2020, guests can enjoy the bountiful festive buffet (starting from just SGD 48++ for lunch and SGD 64++ for dinner).

To start the Lunar New Year right, consider the Golden Eight Treasure Yusheng with Cured Trout and Baby Abalone (separate order at SGD 68++). The traditional Lo Hei dish signifies luck and good fortune for the year ahead. This seasonal must-have combines fruit, shredded vegetables, pickles, candied walnuts, various savoury and sweet condiments and most importantly, a generous topping of cured trout and abalone, all brought together with a sweet and slightly tart white balsamic and peach dressing.

At The Carvery, the Marquee Signature Roasts take centre stage. For the buffet, guests can enjoy:

  • Spit-Roasted Char Siew Chicken: Slow-roasted on a spit to ensure even cooking, resulting in a succulent and beautifully caramelised roast
  • Pork Porchetta with Mushroom and Chestnut Stuffing (Only available during dinner) : A signature dish. The pork Porchetta boasts a golden, super crunchy crackling akin to the crisp pork rind of Chinese roast pork
  • Roast Leg of Lamb with Cumin and Coriander (Only available during lunch): The lamb is prepared with cumin, coriander, chilli powder, garlic, ginger, honey and yoghurt. It marinates for at least 8 hours before it is sous vide for another 4 hours to ensure tenderness. The leg is finally finished in our wood-fired oven for a touch of char and that smoky flavour.
  • Angus Beef Prime Ribs (Only available during the weekends): Top quality Australian prime rib is dry-age with Himalayan salt to concentrate the flavour, before a slow roast and served.

Promotions during 24 – 27 January, 2020: All guests dining at The Carvery on the eve of and during the first 3 days of the lunar new year (24 to 27 January 2020) will receive a complimentary “Golden Prosperity” welcome cocktail (worth SGD 19++), and a Lunar New Year Lucky Bag containing a pair of mandarin oranges and a pack of Park Hotel Group angpows.

They will be entered into our Lunar New Year Grand Draw to win a 2D1N Weekend stay at Park Hotel Alexandra.

For those born in the Year of the Rat (birth year: 1924, 1936, 1948,1 960, 1972, 1984, 1996 and 2008), The Carvery will also be giving away complimentary dining vouchers worth SGD 70.62 (SGD 60++) as well.
