The Wishbone: Smart Thermometer Made Simple

By  |  0 Comments

Thermometers are really useful devices that aren’t used as often as they should. Lamch & Co’s new patent-pending Wishbone thermometer will go some way in changing that. The Wishbone is a non-contact thermometer that works with smartphones to improve the way we measure and track temperatures – in a convenient way, of course.

Lamch & Co touts the Wishbone to be easy to use, and is accurate enough to detect object, body and ambient temperatures in under 2 seconds, and to within ±0.2°C when measuring body temperature and within ±1°C in object mode. It’s non-contact, so it’s great for taking the temperature of a variety of things, especially babies and young children.

The Y-shape design is intended to have you read it at a 45° angle, which is the most natural viewing angle for human eyes. Thanks to its small size, the Wishbone can be easily carried around, and even easier to attach to most smart devices.

Wishbone Use

It works through the use of an app, which is available for Android and iOS devices. Through the app, Wishbone can store historical data, which can be used for analysis and reference. You can create individual profiles so you can systematically record and monitor fluctuations in individual temperatures, which is useful for say, parents who need to monitor their baby’s recovery from illness.

The Wishbone Thermometer is now available at ante at TANGS @ Tangs Plaza, ante at Suntec City, and soon to Hipvan, for S$79.
