Award-winning Executive Chef Wolfgang Ranner will be celebrating Christmas this year at Brotzeit German Bier Bar and Restaurant the chef’s most treasured Germanic recipes
Chef Ranner revives old-time roasting techniques to present a line-up of traditional dishes for family and friends to gather and celebrate a traditional Fröhliche (Merry) Christmas meal.
Here are some delicious menu items to take a look at and perhaps sink your teeth in this Christmas:

Seafood Medley (SGD 25): This is an ideal appetiser of smoked trout, salmon gravlax, anchovies and prawns with caramelized lemon, horseradish cream and pickled olives.

Crispy Pork Belly Roulade (SGD 32): This is infused with winter-time herbs then slow-roasted to achieve succulent layers of meat and fat, topped off with irresistibly crisp crackling skin. When paired with creamy potato gratin, roasted vegetables and then drizzled with a beer-infused sauce, this becomes a dish that Christmas dreams are made of.

Braised Duck and Cranberry Sauce (SGD 32): A classic often enjoyed in German restaurants comprises a duet of savoury and sweet slow-roasted duck , sided with crunchy red cabbage and a unique style of potato dumplings rolled in almond slivers.

Venison Steak (SGD 42): A perennial favourite on Brotzeit’s festive menu. This dish is all about the tender cut of juicy venison paired with tasty almond-potato dumplings and bacon-wrapped asparagus spears.

Christmas Sharing Platter (SGD 118): If you cannot decide between all the delicious choices, this dish combines the signature Roast Pork Knuckle, a selection of Veal and Venison Sausages, Roast Pork Roulade and Veal Shank, with ample sides of seasonal vegetables, mash potato and dumplings to satisfy a group of 4 persons and above.

End the wonderful meal with warm, crisp Choco Drizzled Waffles (SGD 12) served with walnut ice cream, plum sauce and a drizzling of decadent molten chocolate and a glass of Brotzeit’s homemade Gluehwein (SGD 12), a mulled wine spiced with cinnamon, oranges and cloves, for a truly German Christmas flavour.
