Now you have an opportunity to see more: The Price of Neglect is an exhibition of Lu Guang’s powerful, wrenching work. The stark reality the images convey is as engaging as it is terrifying.
Lu Guang based his work in China, documenting the astronomical human and environmental costs of his country’s rapid industrialisation. From the twisted beauty of tortured landscapes to intimate portraits of ordinary folk bearing the brunt of industrial pollution and its damaging effects, Lu’s beautifully composed photographs are as intense as they are dramatic in their narrative.

Biography
A native of Zhenjiang, Lu rose from humble beginnings as a factory worker to become one of the most important and celebrated social documentary photographers of his generation. While capturing his spectacular, unprecedented images, Lu has maintained his independence, his investigative conscience and his integrity.
