Taking a meal when you first wake up is an effective way to fuel the body and brain after not eating for 6 to 8 hours.  According to experts, it is best to eat breakfast within two hours of waking and your first meal of the day should provide calories ranging 20-35 percent of your guideline daily allowance (GDA).

Breakfast is an excellent source of calcium, B vitamins, fiber, protein and iron. These nutrients should not be overlooked since these are less likely to be present during lunch or dinner. Make sure to incorporate these nutrients in your breakfast for a healthy day ahead.

This shouldn’t be difficult to prepare, especially when you’re on the go. Oatmeal is filled with a type of fiber called beta-glucan which can help lower cholesterol when eaten on a regular basis. At the same time, oars are rich in folate, potassium and omega-3 fatty acids.

Whipping up smoothies is the ultimate perfect blend for your morning rush. You can use different frozen fruits including bananas and berries and blend them together you’re your preferred yogurt. The smoothie can be frozen overnight and left to thaw when you go through your morning routine.

  1. Green Tea

Eat your breakfast with a cup of green tea since it is rich in antioxidants known as catechins. Since it has less caffeine, it keeps you more hydrated than drinking cups of coffee. According to research, drinking at least five cups of green tea a day can help boost your metabolism and lose weight at the same time.

  1. Avocado Toast with Egg
