Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG) members in Asia get to travel and enjoy the SPG Triple Crave, a dining offer specially created for them.

SPG Members can earn triple Starpoints at participating restaurants in Starwood hotels and resorts across Asia, Monday to Thursday only, when they spend more than US$50 per table. This programme will run until 30 December, 2014.

SPG Triple Crave requires registration online free here by 30 November, 2014. Bonus Starpoints can be used to redeem free nights, flights and other privileges through the SPG loyalty programme. Participating restaurants can be found at the SPG Triple Crave website.

Noma to extend stay at the Mandarin Oriental, Tokyo

Noma at the Mandarin Oriental Tokyo will extend their stay from 9 January to 14 February 2015 (except Sundays). Reservations will start for the extended period from 17 October, 2014 on Noma’s website.

Lunch and the Private Dining Room at ‘Noma at Mandarin Oriental, Tokyo’ options are available for booking at Noma’s website. Lunch will cost JPY 40,200 (before tax and service charge).

For those travelling to Tokyo, the Dinner at ‘Noma at Mandarin Oriental, Tokyo’ Package will cost JPY 154,000 (before tax and service charge) for two guests and includes one night of accommodation, one dinner at ‘Noma at Mandarin Oriental, Tokyo’ on the night of stay, breakfast and a special commemorative gift.

Noma was founded in 2003 by Chef René Redzepi. This is a small, 11-table restaurant housed within an eighteenth-century warehouse along Copenhagen’s harbour. Noma serves a a tasting menu consisting of 20 servings designed to give guests a clear and delicious sense of time and place.

The Lake Garden, a premium hotel under Accor’s MGallery Colletion, opens in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar. Architectural influences include touches of cultural heritage surrounded by a tropical landscaped garden overlooking a tranquil lake. Guests are greeted at the hotel entrance by three imposing bells, inspired by the Great Bell of Mingun and the source of the hotel’s logo and theme. The hotel’s interior, rooms and suites are filled with Burmese arts and visual elements throughout, giving guests a glimpse of Myanmar’s rich historical culture.

Food-wise, The Lake Garden won’t disappoint with a selection of three venues to choose from. These include The Grand Bell, an all-day, diverse cuisine restaurant; The Oak Room features a wine cellar and cigar room; and The Primo, an Italian restaurant that offers the best of Mediterranean cuisine served in a Burmese-inspired environment.

The hotel is a five-minute drive from the Myanmar International Convention Centre (MICC) and 20 minutes from Nay Pyi Taw International Airport.
