Sustaining a healthy life through walking, good diet and supplements

By  |  0 Comments

These days, many people care more about their work and success than maintaining good health.

Their eye sight weakens with  constant staring at the computer monitor, muscles weaken from a lack of physical activity, immunity weakens with poor diet, all conditions that can lead to heart diseases and cancer diseases.

Intensive walking

There are various of different forms of recreation (exercising, water sports, skiing), but the most natural and most common activity is recreational walking. Walking is recommended and can be done at any time and place, whether for leisure or during the work week. Walking improves physical abilities and general health, so the message is always the same – walk more often.

Here are the rules when it comes to walking:

  • It is recommended to walk on surfaces that are good for your feet, and avoid walking on hard surfaces, especially if you are aiming to lose weight.
  • Walking outdoors is not recommended at extremely high or low temperatures.
  • Sneakers are ideal  for walking.
  • Intensive walking should be consistent. If you are looking to lose weight, the best thing for you will be do take long distance walks of medium intensity.

Walking is the most effective exercise that can keep your body and organs healthy and can sometimes be a better choice than running.

Balanced diet

Diversity is an important factor in maintaining an ideal weight and healthy body. There is no single food that can meet the overall needs of the human body. Our bodies require a daily intake of protein, fat, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and fibre, in order to function optimally. For these reasons, diet diversity (balanced diet) is the foundation of lifelong health.

Try to consume moderate amounts of food every day. The body may be unable to digest it and to use all the amount of food which could lead to unintentional weight gain. To prevent this from happening, you need to eat diverse foods in moderate amounts, 5 times a day.

It is often said that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. All meals are equally important, but having breakfast gives your body energy and nutrients in the morning, a period when everyone needs a fair amount of energy to kick-start the day!

Food supplements

First of all, food supplements are natural and their use is almost inevitable if you want to maintain a good health. What generally confuses people is the different combinations of supplements.

Nutritional supplements or dietary supplements are used in addition to diets and help to supply the body with essential nutrients, such as amino acids, fatty acids, dietary fibre, vitamins, minerals etc., that can not sufficiently be consumed through a regular diet or when the body has a lack  nutrients due to unhealthy eating habits. Some people consider supplements as food, while others define them as natural medicinal products or drugs. However, these supplements should never replace food .

Food supplements can protect your body from many diseases and help you recover from trauma and include benefits such as:

  • Protect the body from stress and free radicals
  • Help you build muscle mass
  • Provide fast and easy recovery
  • Protect against heart disease and blood vessels
  • Provide cancer prevention

TAKE PRECAUTIONS!

Many of us are removing foods from our daily diet, in order to look better or feel healthier. This is wrong. Enjoy your meals in normal amounts because healthy diet combined with supplements and regular walking is one of the best ways to help you accomplish your goals for a healthier body and mind.
